A calling that endures over time.
Since 1934, among the hills of Cupramontana, the Sparapani family has preserved a deep bond with their land. This is where it all began, when the Cerioni grandparents — family of Settimio Sparapani’s wife — purchased the building that once housed a small grocery shop: a simple yet lively place, a point of reference for the local community.

The photograph from 1967 shows the building that today houses the trattoria and the winery shop. An image that speaks of memory and continuity: the same walls that once welcomed a small grocery store are now a place of gathering, taste, and storytelling. A bridge between past and present, where the story of the Sparapani family continues to live on, day after day, with the same authenticity as always.

A turning point came in 1980, when Settimio Sparapani chose to develop and enhance the business that belonged to the Cerioni family, transforming it into a new and visionary project, deeply rooted in the territory. Together with his wife Antonia and their children Giuseppe, Paolo, and Francesca, Sparapani Frati Bianchi winery came to life—an ambitious winemaking project built on a clear choice: to focus on Verdicchio and uncompromising quality, combining ancient knowledge, tireless work, and a modern vision of viticulture.
Guided for over thirty years by Settimio’s wisdom and balance, the winery grew with consistency and quiet determination, becoming a respected voice within the Castelli di Jesi area. In 2016, his passing marked a moment of deep emotion: the territory lost a great interpreter, and the family a precious guide. Yet his presence remains alive—in the vineyards, in the stories, and in the wines that continue to speak of him.

Today, the winery is led by the three siblings, each with their own role, yet united by a truly family-driven spirit.
Giuseppe oversees the cellar and international markets, Paolo works among the vineyards and logistics, and Francesca leads communication and brand identity. In truth, as in all real families, everyone does a bit of everything. Alongside them, Antonia remains a constant, authentic, and tireless presence. Around them, a team of about twenty people who share the same values of dedication, respect, and passion every day.

the ancient hermitage of the white friars
— Beside the vineyards stands the Hermitage of the White Friars, a place suspended in time. An ancient Camaldolese monastic complex carved into the tuff rock and surrounded by unspoiled nature, the Hermitage has preserved for centuries a life of prayer, silence, and agricultural work. Here, a love for vine cultivation was born, and even today one can still feel a deep sense of peace. It is from this atmosphere of dedication and harmony that the Sparapani family draws inspiration, transforming it into wines that tell the story of the land with respect and sensitivity.
