the winery

Where time, land and knowledge become wine.
— In the heart of the Marche region, in Cupramontana, the Sparapani winery is where the vineyard meets the hand of man and time finds its natural rhythm. A generous land, shaped by the right altitude, an ideal microclimate, and perfectly suited soils, which has always guided the daily work of the Sparapani family.
Even before 1980, a single hectare of vineyard hinted at a possible story. But it was with Settimio Sparapani’s decision to fully dedicate himself to Verdicchio that the winery took shape and became a true enterprise. The estate’s vineyards, cultivated with respect and vision, marked the beginning of a journey of slow and mindful growth, gradually expanding over the years through the careful acquisition of small parcels across the valley—always guided by quality and respect for the land.
Between the late 1990s and the early 2000s, the work in the cellar evolved: investments increased, skills were refined, and production capacity grew. Yet the spirit remained unchanged. Here, making wine means bringing together tradition and experimentation, listening and exchange, trust and perseverance. It is a collective effort, shaped by skilled hands and shared passion.

This path of growth found its most visible expression in 2014, with the construction of the new winery. A building designed to bring together tradition and innovation, expanding and reorganizing the production spaces in a functional and harmonious way. Wood, raw stone, brick, and travertine—local materials sourced nearby—blend with the surrounding landscape, making the winery an integral part of its territory. Attention to sustainability is also reflected in energy choices, with a photovoltaic system and a well for water supply.

In the vineyards, no herbicides or chemical desiccants are used; fertilization follows organic principles and is complemented by the practice of green manure, in a continuous dialogue with the land. For about ten years, alongside low-impact conventional viticulture, the winery has embraced an organic path that led to the creation of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Salerna: a project born with the aim of bringing into the bottle—through certified means—the same care, respect, and coherence practiced in the vineyard.
