PRIORE VINEYARD
SOUTH EXPOSURE AND HIGH ELEVATION FOR STRUCTURED AND LONG-LIFE WINES
THE HIGHEST “CRU” OF OUR VINEYARDS
Poggio Cupro is the highest of our “Cru”. It’s situated on the north-westerly side and its vines stand on a wide south exposure ridge. The terrain is mainly composed of fine texture clays which help the water absorption and release it slowly to the roots of plants.
Thanks to the elevation and to the winds that blow through the vines, the wines produced in this area have a prominent and pleasing aroma.

It’s here that in 1996 Il Priore, Verdicchio DOC dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore was born.
